Vision
As New Hampshire residents and members of organizations committed to nonviolence and peace, we recognize the humanity and dignity of all people and believe that security and justice is possible. We endeavor to create more space for respectful dialogue and learning. In a world with nuclear weapons and serious environmental problems, war is too dangerous and costly. We support peacemakers in engaging in diplomatic and nonviolent methods to promote human rights and justice.
Mission
The NH Coalition for Just Peace in the Middle East formed as a response to the devastating violence in the Middle East and the occupation and destruction of Gaza.
We believe the United State’s foreign policy and military aid play a significant role in these problems. As US citizens, we have a moral obligation to pressure our elected officials to develop policies that promote a peaceful and comprehensive resolution to conflicts. A peace process in Palestine-Israel rooted in restorative justice is our focus.
We oppose US support for Israel’s occupation and violent collective treatment of Palestinians. We call for:
- an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza
- the release of all hostages and political prisoners
- massive humanitarian aid to Gaza with the restoration of UNRWA funding at increased levels
- an end to unconditional military aid to Israel
